Hi Ann – I hope all is going well for you and Tim at the farm and that you had a successful summer. Carole Baker and I have been talking for some time about the possibility of having you as one of the guest speakers in my Horse Industry Orientation class this semester. Actually in addition, I discussed the planning with the class last night, and you were specifically requested by the group as a “preferred speaker”! The intent of the course is to help students understand the broad base of the horse industry and the importance of using solid business skills in developing or working in the field. Your understanding of how these ideas apply to the breeding and showing business would really put a helpful spin on the concepts. I’m writing to ask if you might be available to come speak to this year’s class at some point during the fall semester. Regards, Abby Bloxsom Director of Equine Programs, Post University A Big Thank You to Tim and Ann Egan of Northpoint Farm for fitting and showing Nick for us at all of the shows this year. Your hard work and dedication showed every time you entered the ring with Nick. Also, Thank You for showing Nick's baby sister Zariya at both the Indiana and Nebraska State Fairs. You didn't have long to get to know her, but you looked and showed great together! —Kerry and Heidi Trautman, Platte Valley Percherons, Overton, NE Tim, Thanks so much for your business. And what gorgeous animals! You should be very proud of the accomplishments of your farm and family! Congratulations! We look forward to working with you. — Elizabeth, Ranchers Supply Company Well-shod.com, Amarillo, Texas Ann and Tim, Thank you for allowing Matt to give us a wonderful tour of your horse barn. We enjoyed it very much. Sincerely, Alice and Dan Szinyel - Connecticut Enjoyed the article in Farm and Ranch magazine very much. Will continue to follow your progress on the computer.— Jack Griffin Ann, Thanks so much for having Peter last week – he really loved his time with you and was very impressed with everything you do! Thanks again for your support of the program and the students. Many of them mentioned North Point Farm in their evaluations of great barns to visit! — Carole Baker, BHSI SM&T, Director Emeritus of Equine Program, Post University Greetings from Hoosierland......................... I just finished reading your article in Farm and Ranch Living magazine, and how nice to get a glimpse of daily operations/routines on your farm. North Point Farm is definitely a spot on our agenda to visit the next time we are in the New England area. I grew up with horses, but my career took me off the farm. But the memories of, and the love of horses, have never escaped me. The horse is an absolute tie to all the generations of history. While visiting your online publication, I noticed you have been to the Ohio State Fair. As you're aware, I'm sure, Indianapolis is just 180 easy miles west of Columbus. The Indiana State Fair has many days of draft horse shows in the evenings. The Percheron breed is featured in at least two evenings. There are usually two major breeds in a given evening. There are all classes involved from the single cart— men and women entries on through to the multi-horse hitch events. We always attend the evening featuring the Percheron Breed. If you could travel a little further west, I'd like to welcome you to Indiana and visit with you at the Indiana State Fair. Best wishes to you and North Point Farm. — Don Long, IN Dear Tim and Ann, Thank you for sharing and showing me your special horse farm. The insights into the operation and business were invaluable. Your horse barn is the nicest I have seen in CT! When I arrived back at school, I couldn't contain my excitement. My nutrition professor asked me to give a summary of my visit, especially the mare milk analysis studies that you rely on. Thank you again. I hope all your mares have easy, healthy and pretty little foals. — Eric Lehman Dear Mrs. Egan, Just a note to thank you again for our tour last Friday. You were very gracious at having me, my daughter and three little boys show up at your beautiful farm while you were trying to get work done. Your generosity with your time and knowledge were appreciated. — Al Messer, CT Dear Ann, Thanks for letting me work a bit behind the scenes at the fair. You and Tim and Matt looked so exhausted and it was an honor to be with your horses. I love being with horses and working with them and I do not get the chance often. Each has their own personality! I was glad to be of help, and grateful for the opportunity to spend some time with such wonderful animals. I wish you the best in Ohio! Have a good trip and I am certain you will place high! — Dana - Connecticut Dear Tim and Ann, North Point Farm holds a special place in our hearts. Thank you for taking Helen under your wings and allowing her to get to know your Percherons. She has built so many wonderful memories over the past couple of summers, which have carried her through the time where she has not had a horse/horses to love. Thank you for your generosity! Our very best — Carla, Helen, Greg and Lydia Dillman - Madison, Wisconsin Tim and Ann, Mark and I just wanted to thank you again for all your help last week at the Ohio State Fair. Our first show of the year as well as my first show experience left us a bit frazzled! Your kind words and guidance really made such a difference for us. We genuinely appreciate all you did for us. Looking forward to seeing you in Indy. Thank you again for all your help, your kindness and your friendship. — Mark and Tracy Braun, Dayton, Ohio Hi Ann, I really appreciate all of your time this evening educating me on the Percheron breed and I look forward to continuing our dialogue. Next time we come your direction, we'd love to stop by. Also, if you are showing anywhere near Ohio, let me know. Best Wishes — Rebecca Yuhasz Smith Dear Ann and Tim, I just looked at your website--beautiful! I would love to visit your farm, especially as you are so close. Your horses are magnificent. I have a very large Irish Sport Horse mare named Joy. We've been together for almost 12 years. She showed in the big jumpers for a few seasons, got tired of being on the road, and now we are learning dressage. She lives at Fox Crossing Equestrian in Morris, and is featured on the covers of my books. — Karen A. Stansbury Attorney at Law Litchfield, CT 06759 |
